3 out of 5 stars Good minimal coverage   May 16, 2010

I have been using this foundation for the past two months. Perviously, I wore Maybelline and Loreal foundations as well as Sacha. They were all liquid and gave me discolored skin. these foundations also felt heavy and cakey!

This Revlon foundation is great for me since it goes minimal coverage and is very light. I do not wear much makeup so this replaces my normal compact. I wear 050 Light Medium over my Moisturizing sunblock with Milk of Magnesia as my primer. It lasts all day and I live in a very hot area. It goes on very smooth and matches my skin tone exact. I have yellow undertones.

The first week of using this I had a mild break out of white heads on my cheeks and chin area, nothing major. By the second week my skin was back to normal no breakouts and no irritations.

Why 3 stars? The package is somewhat bulky and can be damaged easily if it falls. Also when you shake the jar alot of the powder poofs out when you take off the cover. Other than that I am satisfied with this as a normal everyday makeup for work. I use another mineral foundation when I have to attend events etc.

2 out of 5 stars Caused breakouts   December 13, 2009

I love mineral foundation, so I bought this with high hopes. Unfortunately, this foundation made me break out and make my skin look flaky and dry. It also had very minimal coverage, about the same coverage as any powder compact would give, which would be good for some people but wasn't what I was looking for. Oddly enough, the container broke apart within a few weeks so I had to buy a new jar to put it in. It wasn't that big of a deal, just more of a hassle. I have switched back to Loreal Bare Naturale and am very happy with it.

3 out of 5 stars Just as messy   November 2, 2009

This makeup provides good coverage. But, it is just as messy as the other loose powder foundations.

1 out of 5 stars No matter what your color is, this isn't good :-(   October 16, 2008

I actually sell Revlon where I work, yet it's not my favourite. I got testers of this stock in today, and gave them a go and you need to really coat it on before you see the color appear. That is after you try and get the silly lid off, and after you almost shake your arm off trying to get some or any of the powder into the cup that the brush dips into.
I have tried (and love) Bare Minerals and the Loreal brands and they are top notch. This however, is a very poor copy and I wouldn't waste your time or money on it. It's too frustrating to use, and you'd take forever to apply it to your skin to get any kind of decent coverage. Sorry, I cannot recommend this at all.

5 out of 5 stars Great for your skin and a wonderful price!   September 2, 2008

I have been wanting to use Mineral foundations but the prices can be quite high. I saw the Revlon Colorstay Mineral foundation on sale at Amazon and decided to give it a try.
I have very pale skin so the light version was perfect for me. I also have been using heavy liquid makeup foundations since I was a teen and have suffered blemishes and red skin ever since.
I have been using this mineral foundation for several weeks now and my blemishes are gone as well as the red skin. The foundation also stayed on the entire day at work. It covers well and looks so much better on your skin than liquid foundations.
